The Recipie Book Shelf Project

This project was done back in October of 2008. I wanted a small bookshelf to keep my recipe books .So the hunting began. I been to Flea Markets, Antique Malls, Garage Sales. I wanted something old and needed to be the right tone of blue to match my kitchen. I finally got it on a Antique store in Brentwood, Treasure Island. Is kind of big, so I was there for a while when I spoted this one.It was dirty, had some chicken feathers on it, probably at some point it was on a farm or something. I cleaned and went to HomeDepot several times that day.Drove the paint guy crazy to give me the right tone of blue . It was missing a shelf, so I went to WentzVille Flea Market and got a old board and it turned out just the way I wanted. This shelf is one of my favorite things :)

Louis XV Chairs - From Traditional Walnut to shabby Chic

I got the chairs on Craig's list. Yeah,I'm a Craig's list junkie .They were absolutely beautiful I have to confess , I had to think several times before start painting. But since my new deco is all about white....White they became. I love them with the new look.I got the seating pads from Marshall's but they are temporally , I want to make some custom pads for them when I find the right fabric. It was a super quick weekend project.I got the chairs yesterday morning and today they are already in my living room. Those chairs are ond of my favorite things now.
As the pads become available I will post more pics. For now enjoy the before and after pictures.
